Preparing Your Experience

Redveil was born from a lifelong obsession with the extraordinary diversity of Indian cuisine — and an unshakeable belief that London deserved a truly world-class Indian dining destination.
Our founder, having spent years travelling the length and breadth of India — from the roadside dhabas of Amritsar to the royal kitchens of Udaipur — returned to London with a vision: to create a space where the grandeur of Indian culinary heritage meets contemporary London luxury.
The name Redveil speaks to that vision — the red of our nation's spices, the passion of our craft, and the veil that we lift to reveal the extraordinary depth of Indian gastronomy to a new generation of diners.
We refuse to dilute, simplify, or westernise our food. Every recipe is true to its regional roots, crafted with the same techniques that have been perfected over generations.
We source the finest British produce — Scottish seafood, Welsh lamb, Herefordshire beef — and marry it with hand-selected spices imported directly from Indian growers we trust.
Our kitchen is a studio. Each plate is a composition — balanced in colour, texture, and flavour. Presentation is not vanity; it is respect for the craft and the guest.
Great food deserves great service. Every member of the Redveil team is trained not just in their craft, but in the art of making every guest feel genuinely welcome and completely at ease.
Chef Arjun brings over 20 years of culinary mastery to the Redveil kitchen. Trained under Michelin-starred mentors in both London and Paris, he spent years travelling through India's diverse culinary regions — studying under master cooks in Rajasthani palaces, Kerala backwaters, and Punjab's legendary dhabas.
His cooking philosophy is rooted in restraint and precision: he believes the best Indian food lets each spice speak for itself, in balance with the others, never competing but always complementing.
"Indian cuisine is not just food — it is philosophy, culture, and love. My job is to translate centuries of that wisdom into a single, perfect bite."
— Chef Arjun Mehta
Our interiors draw from the grandeur of Rajasthani palaces — dark woods, crimson silks, hand-hammered brass, and the warm glow of a hundred candles. Arrive for dinner, stay for the experience.
